At Backbeat Drums we deliver drum tuition that is creative, challenging & inspirational yet at the same time structured and of course not forgetting enjoyable! Regardless of style or ability our aim is to help you play drums. We will teach you how to learn, how to practice and also how to perform.
We now offer students the opportunity to take both Rockschool and Trinity Guildhall drum kit grade exams. This enables students to choose how they want to learn. They can focus on technique through the study of rudiments and co-ordination/independance or they can focus on performance by learning how to play in different styles.
Percussion
We also offer tuition for any budding Evelyn Glennies out there! Our percussion lessons cover all aspects of tecnique on a wide variety of percussion instruments including Marimba, Xylophone and Vibraphone.
We will help you to play in a range of styles, from ragtime Xylophone and jazz Vibraphone to contemporary pieces for Marimba. From the basics right through to advanced 4-mallet technique, we cover it all!
You can choose to make your learning exam driven or simply for fun, we can provide a learning experience best suited to your needs.
